Vivaldo Xavier, known as "Jacira" pulls
his 160kg cart collecting metal and other materials for
recycling. He goes long distances to support his two children.
He also creates artistic pieces from the material he finds.
Motorcycle helmets become ghoulish masks, and a chicken
becomes a horned hat. He makes different costumes to wear
while he works, and his cart is equipped with loudspeakers,
which amplify his unique singing, as well as serving to
advertise his presence while he walks the streets. |
